This book is practical and to the point. I picked it up because I wanted to animate but hated how long it took to draw so many images. I was able to read it and create a convincing run cycle (that I learned elsewhere) but the speed in the drawing of the images was amazing and I learned that here. I went from taking 30 minutes to draw an image from start to finish to 10 minutes per image. The image below is my work I finished the same afternoon I read this book. It will increase your drawing speed.

Very good useful information. This is very good book for beginners that can enhance how they perceive shapes and depth in line drawings.

5 stars because it kept me interested. I'll read a really good book in a couple of days but that's only because I don't have the time to sit down and read for hours at a time. Literally, I kept wanting to get back to this book every chance I got. I'd recommend this book to anyone interested in good vs. evil or the supernatural. I really liked the ending, I wasn't expecting it but I also would've liked to have had a little more insight into Talbot and Carter's relationship before and after.

The start can be rather confusing. It reads as if three stories are going on at once and the connections are vague. Throughout the story there are many breaks to what appears to be a totally different story but it ties in at the end.

This was a great haunted house story up until the end. I didn't care for the ending, and that kind of rains the rest of the book for me. But this has some great imagery, and some wonderfully creepy moments.

This book was short yet grabbed you in less than 10 pages. Well written, strong characters with a good amount of Gore.

Hooked me from the beginning and held my interest all the way through. Ending was not what I expected.

Great imagery was invoked by the author's turn of phrase

Interesting premise, but the characters and storyline just didn't keep me as intrigued as I would have liked.

It just didn't really float my boat and that is on me. There are some huge plot holes and knowing that it is part of a series didn't inspire to keep reading to see if they get fixed. Some parts are just too contrived.
